GPSR (GENERAL PRODUCT SAFETY REGULATION) Regulation Harmonization

General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) numbered EU 2023/988 entered into force on December 13, 2024.

With the new GPSR regulation, some legal regulations must be made for products to be offered to the EU market. The most important practice to be followed is the appointment of a responsible person (authorized representative, responsible person) resident in the EU.

The EU responsible person will be responsible for fulfilling the safety requirements of the products offered to the EU market and discussing with the relevant authorities.

In case of a recall related to product safety, it will be necessary to register to the Safety Gate Portal and contact the authorities.
